45 years ago, Stefan Holzer and his father laid the cornerstone for the present-day company by renting out skis. With their marriage in the year 1969, Stefan and Frieda tackled their joint future and supported each other in every possible way. In 1974, "Risi Sport" emerged out of this little ski rental shop. With winter tourism in the region growing, Stefan and Frieda endeavoured this important step together and contributed by doing so to the development of the entire tourism destination Bellwald.

In fall 1993, "Holzer Sport AG" was founded along with their daughter Jeannine, who was just about to finish her commercial apprenticeship. This was the continuation of the traditionally exceptional client service into the second generation. Mother and daughter have become a great sales duo, and together they successfully managed to apply the previously acquired experiences towards the new and bigger shop. They identified not only trends, but also the tastes and the styles of their customers at major trade fairs, and with their outstanding efforts they were able to acquire satisfied and happy clients.

Two years later, in 1995, the next cornerstone was laid: With the reconstruction of the main shop building, right next to the present-day tourism office, the selection has been amplified massively. It is of highest priority to "Holzer Sport" to inform their clientele with all news concerning the current season and to be at their service whenever they desire. This is why their daughter Jeannine has taken up an extra-occupational education in order to become a certified sports equipment specialist.

In the year 2000, the service centre was enlarged so that they could deliver the best service to their clients. Their youngest son Marco, snow sports teacher with BPT recognition, strengthened the team during the winter seasons. During the summer months he used to spend his time being a metal worker. Since 2003, Marco is working all year round in the shop and is advising the customers with know-how and commitment. Their oldest son Roger is professionally active outside of the family business as electro engineer. With these experienced people in charge, Frieda and Stefan Holzer may very well step back and let their children run the company. After 45 years of exemplary professionalism, they are now handing over the management of their company to their son Marco and their daughter Jeannine.
